Recently, I shared a guitar play through by Chris Wiseman from the band Shadow of Intent. Today, I share a guitar play through video of Chris Wiseman from the band Currents. It’s the same Chris Wiseman. He’s that good.
The track Unfamiliar by the band Currents is a stunningly beautiful metalcore track that retains its brilliance in its instrumental form. As complete as the full track is, the guitar parts in this song truly stand out because of how good they are.
The melodies are intricate and the riffage is incredibly impressive. It is an absolute delight to watch, and listen to.
I haven’t mentioned this in my previous guitar play through posts, but I’m also in absolute awe of this video’s setup, lighting and editing. Add to that the fact that the Ibanez guitar being played by Chris is black and white—my personal preference when it comes to the guitars I have a fascination with—and it’s easy to see why I love this video.
Chris Wiseman‘s guitar prowess is the main reason I share this video though. I can only imagine the patterns that he sees when he’s playing guitar. I will never see the guitar this clearly, but I’ll always be impressed when I see someone do it so easily.
Enjoy listening to this phenomenal piece of guitar playing.
