It’s time for another “have you seen how awesome this guitarist is?!” post. Today’s awe-inspiring guitarist is Alyssa Day.
Alyssa’s shredding prowess is incredibly impressive. She somehow also seems extremely down to earth which I find appealing. I can’t imagine being talented enough to play as well as she does and not run down the street yelling “have you seen me play guitar?!”
Not really. I’m not much of a runner.
One of the things I like about Alyssa’s guitar playing is her ability to shred at incredible speed, while still allowing melody to shine through. Speed is one thing. Speed and musicality is another.
Alyssa also offers virtual guitar lessons through her website. That is awfully tempting. Sure, I’ve been playing the same low quality riffage for decades. But it’s never too late to learn properly. Is it?
I’m not delusional though. I’ll never be this good.

I don’t normally do this, but Alyssa deserves to have two embedded videos in the one article. “Why?” you might ask. Normally, I’d simply inform you that this is my website and I create my own rules, but today I am feeling generous, so I will explain why.
Alyssa does things like partnering with To The Rescue to raise funds to save the lives of cats and dogs from high-kill shelters across the USA and abroad. Anybody who wants to help the doggos is A-OK in my book.
